Loren Gold is an American keyboardist, vocalist, music director, and songwriter. He serves as keyboardist for the Canadian rock band Rush and has worked extensively with legendary artists including The Who, Chicago, Roger Daltrey, Kenny Loggins, and Don Felder.
Throughout his career, Gold has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Natalie Maines, Mandy Moore, and Tate McRae. He co-wrote “The Runaround,” the opening track on American Idol winner Taylor Hicks’ platinum-selling debut album, further showcasing his talents as a songwriter.
As a musical director, Gold has led world tours for Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and Hilary Duff — also serving as Duff’s touring keyboardist — and continues to develop and assemble touring bands across genres. He is the author of two instructional books published by Alfred Music, and his original compositions have been featured on HBO and Showtime. In 2010, he helped create the musical medley for The Who’s Super Bowl XLIV Halftime Show, contributing to one of the most-watched musical performances in television history.
